MANY MANY thanks go out also to Taras Prodaniuk, (bass) Derek Brown (drums) Carl Byron (keys) and Joshua Dale Kräge (guitars). many thanks to my partners in Hans! and the HOT MESS, Ruhbeckuh Bass and Tony Edwards for rocking this song live with me through many great shows in 2016.

lyrics

Deep Blue Soul
Vs.1
Sometimes when you feel alone you can begin to think that world is at your throat
When we never speak, words that we should have said drop dead and turn into a world of lies writhing inside your head
So just stop for a minute and smile at somebody. We all got something to say
Chorus
Hell yeah, we gotta make a brighter day. We gotta find a way to shine the light of the face of love on the world
Hell yeah if you're tired of the dance and you don't like the show, sing what's inside you and dive in your deep blue soul.
Vs.2
We dream we'd be happy if we just had more.
We would be satisfied here. We'd never get this bored
But everything you need is inside of you and the things you buy cover up the thing that's true
So just stop for a minute and smile at somebody. We all got something to say
Chorus
Hell yeah, we gotta make a brighter day. We gotta find a way to shine the light of the face of love on the world
Hell yeah if you're lost in America come on home. Look for the light and dive in your deep blue soul
Guitar solo
So stop for a minute and smile at somebody, stop for a minute and smile. Stop for a minute and smile at somebody
Love is for giving away.
Chorus
Hell yeah, we gotta make a brighter day. We gotta find a way to shine the light of the face of love on the world
Hell yeah if you're tired of the sticks and stones, let it go
Forgive all your rivals and dive in your deep blue soul
